Books have a thousand ways of reaching us. Sometimes, we've all experienced it, it happens through the grace of a friend. What is it about? What does this voice tell us? On a Greek island, a woman wanders, inspired by the memory of her deceased loved one. Designate them, draw the consequences. Enter into a rage as others go underground, refusing to renounce. Without hope of succeeding, strive to make them pay back through the out-of-control celebration of what was, luminous, that they destroyed. It is neither mourning nor reconstruction. Just a barrier, but a flourishing barrier. "... this is perhaps the most beautiful struggle of the century, when sleeping bodies, motionless and stuck together, unite against boredom, unite against the night that crashes on the rooftops... " To refuse, here, is to live.
